When Jan an I were invited to the wedding of a friend out of my volleyball team, the first thing everyone of our team was thinking of is what to wear. A short dress, a cocktail dress, a summer dress , along dress? We were so excited from the first moment we got the invitations and chatted without interruption about the topic wedding: weather it was which dress we choose, which shoes, what we want to gift or how beautiful out friend would look. With the wedding coming closer and closer almost everyone had prepared for the wedding – me too.
It was so difficult to find the right dress, since I knew it had to be long. I didn’t own a long , chic dress for such a occasion until now and since I’m invited to a couple of weddings I thought it would be fabulous to own one. But since I love wearing black and everybody reminded me not to wear black ( :D ) it was really so hard to find something I liked: most dresses where to similar too white or such a awkward pink, which wouldn’t match the slightly red undertone my hair still has…blue? Green? Red? – no, not red…..Finally I saw this dress on ASOS, and I immediately fell in love with it. It’s my second pastel yellow piece I bought ever (you remember the off shoulder top I showed you >>here<<?)
I love the lace detail at the top of the dress, which makes the dress very elegant, feminine and unique. The high round neckline makes it not necessary to wear a necklace (it would probably look to bold to wear a necklace), but beautiful to wear something on the hands and arms to complete the look. The chiffon makes it look very elegant and feminine too, the flattering high waist just underline the feminine figure. The back looks very playful , too, with the almost transparent chiffon on it.
While trying it on the first time I didn’t want to put it off again EVER , feeling like a princess – a Disney princess – Belle. I thought about doing a similar hair do like Belle , too :D With a lot of fantasy you can compare my hair to her hair :D Of course I needed to find the right shoes to the dress and the Konplott jewelry , too: So I choose my bronze metallic sandals for that. The warm undertones match perfectly together and make the outfit joyful and elegant. Funny that I compared exactly that shoes to the off shoulder top in the same color. I think the colors match so beautiful together.
Since I’m invited to some other weddings this year – and one will be even in Croatia *_*, I would love to know where you’re searching for your dresses for that occasion and if you have some tips to make the outfit p e r f e c t.
Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday and a fabulous start into the new week my dear friends. I hope you enjoyed the weekend <3
